We are a Devon based family company, fully committed to cycling. We believe cycling is the most natural way of travel, whether it is for day to day commuting or for enjoyable holidays. If you really wish to take in your surroundings, cycling is the most rewarding way - and you can cover much more distance than on foot! Company Director Eric van der Horst grew up in The Netherlands with cycling as a natural means of transport. As a young lad he explored most of Western Europe by bicycle. He has also cycled further afield to North America, Australia and New Zealand. In The Netherlands he has published two books about cycling: Where are you heading? about his American coast-to coast bike ride and the Heart of England Route, a practical no-nonsense guide for those who wish to cycle from Harwich (Essex) to Land's End in Cornwall independently. Besides his work for EOS Cycling Holidays, Eric also works as a Cycle Route Surveyor and Cycle Route Consultant for UK councils, see also his homepage.

Originally from Northern Ireland, Company Director Dawn Connor - van der Horst has taken on the cycling passion of her husband. She has a history in project management and is committed to ensuring everything runs smoothly at EOS Cycling Holidays. She is also the driving force behind the EOS Cycle Training Scheme, a Bikeability training scheme which serves North Devon and beyond. Both Dawn and Eric work as fully qualified Bikeability Instructors as well. It will be hard to find a better team to organise your cycling holiday!
