Welcome to my blog!

From my day job as a cycling instructor I spend much of my time training children on-road cycling skills. Children on the whole love getting out on their bikes and love it even more when Mum and Dad come too.

As a parent though I am also very aware of the practical difficulties involved in getting the whole family out together and that is the purpose of this blog.

Here I intend to discuss issues related to cycling with children. I’ll look at bikes, handy accessories and equipment, logistics, traffic-handling, tips for cycling as a group, route planning, bike maintenance and much more. Everything in fact to help you and your family head out for fun and adventures on your bikes.

I welcome your feedback and comments – particularly those from other “Cycling Mamas”. Suggestions for future topics to be covered are also welcome.
